Update: College Tuition paid. And I survived Cancun;)

Coming back to school hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be after being in Cancun for a whole week...but it also hasn't been the easiest either.

I've managed to get by this whole year so far without having to go to the doctors and with my track record last year, visiting the doctor almost every other week... that is one of the largest accomplishment I've made in my life.

Unfortunately the head cold greeted me on the plane home from Mexico and waking up late to work this morning only proved that my cough medicine has had a lot more of an affect than I thought. It's been a mess. But a very blessed mess.

Guys Cancun was no lie, A DREAM. From street tacos, beach days, moped rides, and snorkeling I think we just about walked all of Mexico and then some. The minute we got back to our little hotel every night we all crashed hard. With 12 people to a 6 person room it was pretty cozy. There were sleeping bags, beds pushed together, make shift couch cushion beds and the best views anyone could have ask for.

We honestly went with no set plans and came back with sunburns (except for me, like what!!?), corn row braids, and some crazy memories.

The night we got there we immediately stripped down to swimsuits and shorts and t shirts cause the humidity was like a wall. We took a bus down to the "strip of Cancun" with all of the clubs and hotels, where we ate and then ran our little bums to the beach as fast as we could because...it's been like 5 years since I have seen a beach. I'm pretty sure we were in the water before we could get our shoes off.

The next morning we met up with another group (that would be a total of 20 college spring break enthusiasts) and paid Ernesto to drive us all over the place. We went to some ancient ruins where we told the tour guide to give us the express tour to which he happily agreed and ditched us halfway through. I tried holding a large dragon lizard thing but mid-sentence as I was asking Abby to take a picture the man reached out his hand and said "five-dolla" and without the slightest bit of hesitation I sorta handed/tossed back the lizard like a hot potato. Can't forget about that $150 budget.

One of my absolute favorite things we did was visit one of the Xenotes which is like an underground fresh water pool in a cave. There were two high-dives and lots of little fishies in the water. I about died, that 45 minutes was worth the whole trip.

We spent the next day or so crashing resort beaches, taking a million pictures in pintrest-esque formations, and bartering with locals. Fun fact: over half of our group spoke Spanish. That definitely improved the cost effectiveness of the trip.

The last day was probably my favorite.

After walking through several streets set up with little souvenir stands selling a number of hats that expressed choice words about Trump, we finally navigated ourselves to the beach where we bought tickets for the ferry to take us to Cozumel.

While we waited we couldn't pass up the chance to be on a Canadian soap opera....which only made us late for the ferry, realizing we were on the opposite side of the beach. We all took off in a mad sprint. It felt like we were flying but in sand everything is slow mo. We made it in 8 minutes with only one minor accident. People were yelling and cheering us on all down the beach. It was the day we all learned at least we were physically fit enough to run a mile in the sand.

In Cozumel we found this little rental shop that set us up with snorkeling gear and mopeds. Just as were about to leave, literally no more than 20 seconds after getting on the scooters, one of the girls managed to send the moped half way across the street crashing into a car. It was alllll good though. We just laughed, wiped the sweat away from our faces, and acted like we knew what we were doing. The trust they put into 12 american college students and 6 mopeds. Too much.

Cozumel was breathtaking and so was Abby's hand after accidentally touching a sea urchin. The poor thing.

10 out of 10 would reccomend this vacation and the 24 hour taco place we found right cross the street from our hotel.

Love, Lundie
