Tour guide Doug, a coworker's dad, showed us the 10 steps to a successful fishing day.
1. Donuts from the grocery store must be boughten and consumed. Good fuel for fishing is important
2. Learning how to hold the fishing pole is also very important
3. If you use a plastic knife from the grocery store to try and cut the bait it will break in under 3 seconds
4. Birds like fish too, and sometimes they try to steal yours
5. When seals taunt killer whales, its better than a girl fight in the high school hallway
6. Killer whales are one of the most majestic creatures and crossing paths with a pod of them was CRAZZYYY
7. When you think you can't reel no more, keep reeling. 25% of the time you've got something and 75% of the time your arms are just tired and the pole just got heavier
8. Rock fish have bulgy eyes, aren't good to eat, and are extremely ugly
9. If you didn't take a picture, did you even catch it?
10. Fishing is good for the soul and is better than any medication on the market
I would give Doug a full 5 stars on Trip Advisor hands down for making it a trip of a lifetime and our co worker Chan Chan a million maple donuts for putting it all together.
Love, Lundie
