Float Trip on the Mendenhall

Aside from the little inflatable canoe we would paddle around in the lake behind the house we were living in over the summer it was fun to actually have a tour guide take us down the river that runs off of the Mendenhall Glacier. While it wasn't exactly "white water rapids" it was more the experience putting on the garb. I sat with a cute old couple from the UK that told me about their recent travels to Italy and the seven thousand cruises they have taken and they looked just as in love as they probably were when they met several years before. They were serious couple goals and I felt honored to be sharing a bench with them.
