I just can't stay away from Southern Utah apparently. This past week I was in over my head with homework and projects and figured what better way to procrastinate even longer by taking a little trip down to St. George, so that's just what we did. I have never hiked Angel's Landing so after getting to the park, being pulled over by a cop, getting out of the ticket with a little sweet talkin', dry heaving half way up cause all I had eaten was oatmeal creme pies for two days (yeah, I know. Disgusting. Little Debbie is trying to kill me) and then scaling up a freakin' mountain we made it and it was SO WORTH IT.

Best views I've seen besides the unlimited steak fries and ranch we ordered at Red Robin that night for dinner.

Something I have loved about these hikes is that you meet the funniest people. We got into a friendly competition with a couple to race to the top and then we became the professional photographers for a few older men whose wives had ditched them at the base of the mountain.

We saw a girl laying on a rock while her poor husband was told to take a picture over and over again because the last 400 weren't cute enough. Ha! K fine. I'm guilty of it too, but instead of a husband I just recruit the closest person to me.

The best though was a lady who had attracted several chipmunks around her by feeding them water. While commenting about how this lady had like a cult of chipmunks surrounding her she overheard me and snapped back that she was only trying to help them haha she forgot to leave the attitude back in the car. Little did she know she probably drowned all of those poor little guys. I mean if there isn't water up there to begin with then they're obviously doing just fine.

ANYWAY.

It was super rad. We saw this guy with pigtails that were french braided down past his shoulders to which I also commented were super rad and he thanked me for such a compliment.

It was so hot and such a steep hike the car wreaked the minute we got in but there wasn't time for a shower because we were already late for the WSU v. SUU football game. All that was left was standing room, lucky us. We had been standing for so long it almost didn't matter anymore though...couldn't feel my legs anyway. We ran into a bunch of friends at the game and then after a solid win took off to go find dinner AKA Red Robin (the dirty bird). S/O to Uncle Trav for nicknaming everything.

Going to sleep on the floor that night, wedged between two memory foam pillows, was the most glorious thing that has ever happened to me.

On the drive back yesterday we could see a huge storm rolling in and sure enough went from 70-degree weather through the weekend to below freezing upon getting back to Logan. When I stepped out of my car in Tevas and capris I felt a little disoriented but hey that means I can finally pull out my ski coat again. *sobs. It's the most wonderful time of year. Welcome winter!! You is finally here.

Love, Lundie

^^Hey cute bum, where you from?
